Death Toll Rises to 13 as NIA Intensifies Search Linked to Delhi Blast Case

The investigation into the recent Delhi car explosion has expanded across multiple states, with agencies uncovering new evidence, detaining more suspects, and identifying additional vehicles linked to the terror module.

Death Toll Climbs to 13

LNJP Hospital has officially confirmed one more death, raising the total fatalities to 13. Authorities fear the number may rise as critical victims remain under treatment.

Two More University Students Detained

Two students from Al-Falah (Warug) University in Faridabad have been taken into custody for questioning.
Preliminary information suggests both individuals hail from Jammu & Kashmir and may have been associated with Dr. Umar’s terror network.

Fourth Car Search Underway in Haryana

The NIA and Haryana Police have intensified their search for a fourth vehicle suspected to be part of the terror plot.
Earlier investigations had already identified:

  • A red EcoSport found abandoned in a Haryana village
  • A third car being tracked in Delhi

Authorities now believe more undiscovered vehicles may be linked to stored explosives.

Umar Nabi’s Relative Identified as Key Associate

A major breakthrough came when police confirmed that the red EcoSport was parked on Umar’s instructions by Faheem, a relative of Umar Nabi.
According to the Haryana Crime Branch, Faheem placed the car in an empty plot in the village exactly as directed.

CCTV Footage Shows Umar in Connaught Place

Newly surfaced CCTV footage shows Dr. Umar Nabi driving a white i20 near Connaught Place shortly before the explosion occurred.
This adds to earlier visuals showing him moving through several key areas of Delhi.

Investigators are now examining whether:

  • Umar intended a major attack in central Delhi, or
  • The device detonated accidentally while placed on the car’s bonnet

Current evidence leans toward an accidental blast.

Explosives Possibly Stored in Multiple Locations

Investigative agencies strongly suspect that additional explosives and vehicles may have been hidden in:

  • Faridabad

  • Other regions of Haryana

  • Locations across Jammu & Kashmir

Search operations remain active across these regions, with the intent to recover all remaining explosives before they can pose further danger.

Another Doctor From J&K Detained

Reports also indicate that yet another doctor from Jammu & Kashmir has been taken into custody, suggesting a larger professional network involved in the terror module.

Nationwide Hunt for Accomplices Continues

Multiple agencies—including the NIA, Delhi Police, Haryana Police, and Crime Branch units—are coordinating a nationwide effort to locate all remaining accomplices tied to Dr. Umar Nabi’s terror cell.

The investigation remains fast-moving, with more arrests and discoveries expected in the coming days.
