Two Kochi Shipyard Workers Arrested Over Spying Suspicions

Udupi Police have arrested two former employees of the Kochi Shipyard for allegedly sharing sensitive information with a Pakistani intelligence handler identified as Naserappinch.

The arrested individuals are:

  • Rohit, a native of Uttar Pradesh
  • Sandy, a native of Manipur

Both had worked at the Kochi Shipyard for nearly two years.

Authorities placed Naserappinch under close surveillance from March 2 following suspicions that confidential vessel-related information was being leaked from the Kochi Shipyard. Investigators believe the breach originated from the section where Rohit was employed.
